Apart Together is the debut studio album from Tim Minchin, acclaimed Australian composer, musician, actor, writer and director. Minchin is best known for his live shows, performing extensively around the world and releasing three live albums and five live DVDs. He has sold out some of the worlds most famous venues; The Royal Albert Hall, Londons O2 Arena, Melbournes Hamer Hall and the iconic Sydney Opera House. Tim composed the music and lyrics for a stage adaptation of Roald Dahls classic childrens book Matilda. Matilda the Musical has become one of the most critically acclaimed and popular musicals of all time, winning more than 85 international awards, including 16 for Best Musical, five Tony Awards and a record seven Olivier Awards. Minchin composed the music and lyrics to musical Groundhog Day, based on the classic 1993 film starring Bill Murray. This won Minchin his second Olivier Award for Best New Musical.
