“I like music when I party!” – Robert Ealey of the New Bluebird Nightclub in Fort Worth. This was a place of blues, drinking, dancing and all kinds of fun for everyone – a truly inclusive scene. Robert Ealey and The Five Careless Lovers were the house band of the day. The stories areendless and sometimes a little hard to believe – it was a place and time very special in Fort Worth music history.
