Description Hide Show The tumbling toms that launch Over the Mountain still make us grin; Randy Rhoads scalpel-sharp riffing chases them like a fighter jet. Diary Of A Madman is Ozzy Osbournes second solo set and Rhoads last studio statement, where classic metal bravado meets baroque flair. Flying High Again brings the beer-raising hook, while the closing title track twists from hushed nylon-string to choir and a vertigo-lurching finale. This LP pressing gives the guitars more space and the low end sits deeper, so Rhoads stacked harmonies and Ozzys choir-laced finale bloom instead of blur. File it alongside early-80s Judas Priest, but the neoclassical edges and weird, theatrical turns are Ozzy and Rhoads own. Tracked in 1981 at the height of the new wave of British heavy metals bite, it remains focused and oddly playful. If youd rather order online, you can buy Ozzy Osbourne records online with us. Spin for a late-night drive or a Saturday tidy, and those choruses do the lifting. Our take: its the Ozzy studio album where the songs and the guitar vocabulary lock together best. Even away from the hits, the sequencing flows and never drags. Add it to your collection today, available online or in our Melbourne record store. Product Reviews Hide Show Write a Review
