Frizzle Fry is their wiry debut, all rubbery bass, Larry LaLondes bent guitar figures, and Tim Alexanders martial snap. Too Many Puppies still hits, a lurching anti-war chant with drums like a parade gone wrong. John the Fisherman remains the gateway riff, sailing into a chorus that sticks for days. This clear/purple split pressing gives the music more breathing room; the low end sits deeper without smearing the kick. Imaging also feels wider, so those oddball guitar scrapes and snare ghosts sit where they should. It belongs right next to Mr. Bungle and the late 80s/early 90s alt-metal fringe in your shelf, but its funkier and more elastic.
